WP Bug: Admin directs to Post list when I trash Post/Page

  • This must be a WP or Server bug, but whenever I trash a page, my WP admin is redirected to the Post list page.

    I notice this after a clean install when I want to delete the default/sample page.

    Any ideas why?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    This is something I noticed immediately after install. No plugins, default theme and default settings.

    I can’t replicate it on any of my installs.

    That’s why I think it might be a server problem. I am using a very updated version Plesk 10.3 and I’ve also seen this problem on my local MAMP server.

    I have seen Plesk cause problems on other WP sites but I don’t recall seeing this issue before. It sounds like some sort of redirect/rewrote issue.

    This seems to be a Firefox issue. It might be some Add-On.
