wp-cat= feature shows all categories

Just installed free plugin, and set up everything.
Problem is that the wp-cat= feature in the shortcode always shows all categories, never the one I ask for.
I have three categories, and on each of my pages I add the shortcode as follows:
[wp-catalogue wp-cat=”gear”] (or “holsters” or “logo-gear”)WordPress 3.9.2 running Minamaze theme
