• Hello…I am just starting a new blog. I’ve blogged before but am new to WP. No matter the platform I’ve always been able to uploadfree iamges for my followers to then be able to download. I found a video explaining how to add a Download to my WP blog and I followed the directions. But when I upload my image to the library it changes the size on me. I don’t know if it is WP or me. My image is a jpg and 3300px x 2500px (11×8.5) 300resolution and 2.13MB.

The library says Maximum upload file size: 256 MB. I thought 2.13MB would be smaller than 256MB. When I look at the image after uploading it is
    File size: 1 MB
Dimensions: 2560 by 1978 pixels and 96 resolution.

I thought, well maybe it will still print it at the original size but when I did a test download, nope, it was 2560×1978 with 96 resolution. Since my images are printed by my followers that won’t work.

I am not a techie, and can’t do the tech talk thing but I’ve done exactly this same download thing with Blogger, Typepad and Squarespace, I would think I would have the option to do the same with WP as I have always heard how great it is. If I can’t do this simple thing I am going to be very sad.

Can anyone help this tech challenged blogger and hopefully tell me it is s simple fix somewhere that I missed?

P.S. If I need to set up the test post again and redo the download image for someone to look at I am glad to do so. I deleted it when I realized the size was wrong. Thank you!
