WP changing UTC to City based time zone

  • Hi guys,
    I’m having an issue with WordPress changing my chosen timezone (UTC+10) back to a city based zone (Brisbane). Brisbane is also UTC+10, but I have a plugin called Bookly which translates the time zones to potential customers and it doesn’t work when WP has set Brisbane, but it does work when I have chosen UTC+10.
    You could argue it’s a bug with the plugin, and it may be so, but why does WordPress change the UTC+10 to Brisbane by itself. is there any way to stop it from doing that?

  • I think you would be better off addressing this question to the plugin’s developer directly. My guess is that it is the plugin that is changing your timezone settings – not WordPress core.
