I am trying to deactivate shield for my staging copy using a script and wp cli.
The plugin does not appear on the list of plugins.

    Is that by design?
How can I deactivate it via command line?

    Thanks

We haven’t tested Shield with wp-cli and so we don’t support it officially. We can’t say what would be happening here.
Maybe try removing Security admin restrictions..

I do not have them activated, so it is strange.

Thank you for the fast reply.

perhaps test with keeping the plugin activated, but using the global disable switch on the plugin to see if that makes a difference. If it does, re-enable and test disabling modules until 1 shows itself to cause the interruption. That’s the best way I can suggest to narrow it down..

I found a workaround creating the reset file on my script, so the “login captcha” is disabled on the staging using that, and I do not need to deactivate the plugin instead.

I will try to do more tests as soon as I got some time.

    Thanks!
