    Hi ??

I did the Optimize SEO Data clicking on the button on one domain without trouble, now I’m seeing the green message:
    SEO data optimization complete
but for another domain I’m receiving an error …

So I asked to my host to do it with the WP CLI and they says that it’s done but I’m still seeing the button START THE SEO OPTIMIZATION

    Is it normal?
Do I need to click on the button or not?

    TIA
    Cheers

  • Hi,

We would expect the WP-CLI feature to also complete the SEO Data button. We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.6.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    2. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v15.8.2? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

If all are updated, please try the steps below:
    – i. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin:?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/yoast-test-helper/
    – ii. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    – iii. Locate the Yoast SEO section and select the “Reset indexables tables & migrations” button
    – iv. Then re-run WP-CLI.

    Does the issue resolve?

    1- 5.6.2

    2- 15.8 (No update link for 15.8.2)

    3- Yep w/o exception

4- I need to ask to my host to do it again ^^

    Stay tuned

    @magicfilou Oops! 15.8 is fine!

Ok below the message of my host:

We re indexed it , it seems to work fine. Also usually resetting of indexes are needed if you make a domain change or in a structure of permalinks else it is not really required.
    .
    .
But I’m still viewing the: START THE SEO OPTIMIZATION button

    So?

    Hi,

We would expect that the ‘start the SEO data optimization’ button wouldn’t appear anymore after re-running the Indexables feature via WP-CLI.

If you click on the ‘start the SEO data optimization’ button, you mentioned that there was an error that appeared. Could you let us know what specific error message appears? Could you then check the browser’s console for any JavaScript errors? — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

We’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.`
