• If I run the check to see if WP-CLI needs updating, or if I try updating it, it says it is at the newest version. My version shows as 2.5.0 and the newest stable release is said to be 2.6.0.

    How can I troubleshoot this?

  • Hi @dekadinious

In order to help you troubleshoot this, could I check the following with you.

    1. What operating system are you using?
    2. Which installation method for WP-CLI did you follow

    Thanks

It’s a Linux server and I believe I downloaded the PHAR and set it in my users’ path. I have been able to update it normally once before.

    Got it.

What I have done in the past if WP-CLI will not update is repeat the installation steps (ie download the latest phar, set it as executable and then move it to the /usr/local/bin/ directory).
