wp-comments-post.php blank page

    Hello all. Sometime between 8 days ago and now, comments on my blog have ceased working. Clicking on “submit comment” leads to /wp-comments.php, which is blank.
    There is another issue — comments from an entry made 8 days ago are appearing in an entry made today, as far as I can tell all they have in common are the same category.
    I have viewed the other threads and tried various fixes.
    – The code in comments.php around the submit form is EXACTLY the same as the default theme.
    – I have attempted to repair my wp-comments table
    – Deleting .htaccess file and any other “caching fixes” do not work.

    If given a couple more hours to whack at it I might be able to solve the issue, but alas it is late, I am tired, and I have class tomorrow. Any insight to fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT: The issue with comments from one entry appearing on another is fixed.

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    -> Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
    -> Assign permissions to wordpress database user again. also ask your hosting service provider to restart database services.
    -> Disable all the plugins and enable it one by one to find out the culprit.

    Shane:
    If you look in “About this Topic”, I specified my version. Restarting the MYSQL daemon did the trick, though. I repaired the table but didn’t restart it. Thanks.
