I needed to edit the user and oass. I did it in the file itself. Anywhere else I need to add a new user and pass, like control panel? I want to be sure I did it right.

  • The username and password for what? wp-config.php contains the username and password for your database. What ever is in wp-config will have to match your database credentials (or at least one of theme, usually it’s best to have a separate database login for your web app). If you are indeed updating the username and password for your database, you’d update that most likely in cPanel that your web host provides. (I’m assuming that, since you mentioned control panel)

Thanks. They use their own, not cPanel. I think I got it … Db needs to be changed in my cp if changed in wp-config, thank you!. Last week I was hacked with the Zend Framework or something like that. That hack is back but I can’t figure out how they are getting to it.
