• Resolved M4B

    (@m4b)

    I tried upgrading to 2.8.4 and received the fatal error message and tried to follow the suggestions in posts on this forum.

    I have searched the files and I can’t find the wp-config.php anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanls

    Whooami,

    I can now understand your frustration. I recently changed domain names and did not realise that I have 2 directories. I can seeting settings.php clearly.
    Thanks again

    whooami-

    Dude, your replies to M4B were nothing short of rude and arrogant.

    If you ever see a question of mine in this forum, do me a favor and don’t help.

    @sixguinness – I’ll second that, bravo.

    @zgani

    Thanks.

    I need help on a similar issue to confirm my domain with ebay’s affiliate program, but I’m not going to ask for it here. It’s frustrating enough to jump through so many hoops without having to put up with some snot nosed smart-ass like whooami.

    M4B, should have told him to screw off after his second reply.

    You are welcome to email via my site for the problem

    sixguinness and ZGani,

    Thanks for the support guys

    M4B you are welcome. We are all here to learn from and help each other. This is a forum to ask questions about wordpress, be it basic or advance we all desrve to be treated with respect, made to feel at ease and welcome.

    No one has the right (no matter how knowledgable they are) to treat others with such arrogance and disrespect.

    Frankly the moderators/admin should have put an end to this long time ago as it is not the first time its happened.

    Anyways….hope your problem was resolved satisfactory.

    ZGani,

    Yes I was able to fix the problem and upgade. To be fair, once I realised I had another directory,it was obvious the file was there. Also I have a pretty thick skin, so nothing much upsets me.

    Susan

    lol glad to know am not alone on overlooking and being thick skinned at the same time and still get things done ??

    Been there to myself… ?? … we all start somewhere…

    Apart from those blessed by the secret WordPress society… *but shhhhh it’s a secret*… ??

    Yes I was able to fix the problem and upgade.

    For the edification of others, how did you fix the problem.

    kmessinger,

    I did what you suggested. I also backed up first.
    Opened wp-setting.php
    Changed 32M on line 13 to 64M
    Saved the change
    Ran the automatic ugrade.

    Everthing works well and also thanks for the information not to touch config.php.
