Hi, just wondering if the wp-content/cache folder was created by the W3TC plugin and if I can safely delete the contents? When I download/backup my wp-content folder, i’m getting thousands of files being downloaded from this folder, more and more each time I do a backup. Thanks in advance.

If you are running Database Cache and Object Cache from disk turn them off and empty the cache

Thanks for your help. Yes, I am running those so I turned them off and emptied the page cache. Can I delete the wp-content/cache/object and wp-content/cache/database folders now?

No need to delete the folders but no harm in doing so.. Your choice

Ah I see now, the contents of those folders were automatically deleted anyway when I followed your instructions above. Thanks, really appreciate your help.
