WP Continues to Freeze

  • My page continually freezes when adding blocks or using the WordPress theme editor (this won’t even load right now). And not just the page. I can’t click the ‘back’ button, I can’t ‘refresh’, I can’t click anything. The best I can do is exit the tab (losing saved work) or enter a new URL and leave the site altogether.

    I am unsure what to do and/or how to fix this. It’s been doing this for a day or so. My WP is up-to-date, but it keeps freezing.

    Any help is much appreciated.

  • I would recommend to deactivate all plugins. Does it behave better then? If so, one of the plugins was to blame. You can determine the culprit by activating them again individually.

    If deactivating the plugins doesn’t change anything, change the theme to a standard theme like TwentyTwentyThree. If it works better then, the theme you are using is to blame and you should contact their support.
