After the update the whole installation does’nt work anymore; only solution to get access is to delete the plugin via FTP.
That’s the warnings that I got after the update:

Warning: include_once(/www/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat/browscap-db.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/browser.php on line 20

Warning: include_once(): Failed opening ‘/www/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat/browscap-db.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:..’) in /www/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/browser.php on line 20

Warning: unlink(/www/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat/browscap-db.php): No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/browser.php on line 26

    Hi,

it sounds like Slimstat is not being able to download the data file and save it in that folder. Could you please make sure your folder permissions will allow the web server to do so?

    Best,
    Jason

    The permissions are o.k.
I made an manual update also, but with the same result.
Just I re-installed the version 4.4.1 whitout any problems.

    With best regards, Michael

Let’s see if other users point out this same issue.

Mine as well. All my sites went down and I had an internal server error 500. I also had to disable Slimstat everywhere.

I’ve had to disable Slimstat on my sites as well.

Fatal error: Class ‘slim_browscap_db’ not found in /home/XXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/browscap/browser.php on line 22

Had to disable on my sites as well

Same problem here. It took a while to figure out what was going on but rolling Slimstat back to the previous version fixed it.

This is what I see when Slimstat is enabled now

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 19922944 bytes) in /home/content/11/7539211/html/wp-content/uploads/wp-slimstat/browscap-db.php on line 65540

    PHP 5.3
    Slimstat 4.4.3

above error message comes up when trying to access site as user or admin. Only way to get site working is to disable Slimstat.

    Any suggestions?

    thank you

Yeah, my sites broke as well.

I had to delete the plugin to overcome the white screen of death.

I reinstalled the plugin afterwards and it works now.
I had 4.4.2 installed during failure.
I upgraded to 4.4.3 to make it work.

    Strange.

My Site (Network of 3 Subdomain-Sites) also crashed – not directly after the 4.4.3 update but 3 days later.

Fatal error: Class ‘slim_browscap_db’ not found in …/wp-slimstat line 22

    Plugin disabled. Please fix it.

    Cheers

Initially the error I saw was this (seen in image that is hopefully below

    slimstat error

After upgrading to latest version, the error seen in earlier post is what I see now.

Have had to disable slimstat to get my website to work

I have atleast 6 sites running this plugin.

    4 on one host,
3 of them didn’t do the 500 error, just had a new update
    1 needed the plugin reinstalled

Others on different hosts I don’t have access to…
Of course they get the 500 error… #@()#@_

If it ain’t broke, fix it ’til it is!

I can confirm the same as @coastodian. I have to remove the plugin to get my site back.

exactly the same. WP down. “Fatal error: Class ‘slim_browscap_db’ not found in …/wp-slimstat line 22” I have erase by ftp the plugins and the site work. Where I can download the previous version?
