Since this in both website WP CRON stop running: i think the two things are related because server log shows the WP CRON stop running next transient cleaning

I’m not able to restart WP CRON so i’ve to use ALTERNATE WP CRON

    Can you help me?

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues.

The plugin does add a new event to Cron to ensure it’s run daily. If you switch off the automatic runs from the settings screen then this should remove the event and you can see if it’s that causing it.

If it is the plugin, it would suggest that cron (or the plugin) is crashing. You will need access to your PHP logs to try and narrow down the issue further – sadly, I’ve not hard any other reports issues of this happening so I’m not aware of what it could be.

    Dear David,

The automatic runs ever be switched off: if i provide you admin log in, could you try to figure out what is happened here?

Sorry, I don’t understand the question.

Please don’t offer than to anyone. It’s a big security risk and forum admins won’t be happy with you – I can diagnose the issue without having to log onto your site ??

I forget to say that one of both is a stage site, i was offering you these credentials.
So…how we can diagnose the issue?

i never set up your plugin never to do automatic cleaning

This happens automatically when you enable it. If you head to Tools -> Transient Cleaner you can switch off the automatic cleaning via the top tick-box. Please un-tick this, click the “Save Settings” button and then see how it goes over the next 24 hours.

I deactivad the automatic cleaning since i’ve enable your plugin

    Plugin Author David Artiss

    (@dartiss)

So you’ve already disabled it and the cron issue is still occurring?

Technically, this should have removed the cron event. In case it hasn’t please try disabling and deleting the plugin from one of your two sites and see if this cures it (the deleting will cause the cron event to be removed).

Ok, i’ve disabled and deleted your plugin from stage site, no effects ??

You may have to disable/enable WP Cron. I’ve found instructions on this here – https://www.siteground.com/kb/disable-enable-wordpress-cron/

Already tried, with no effects ??

    Screen

this is a screenshot about the wp cron jobs on my stage site. as you can see, they are all stucked. The first one for example, that had to run 1 hours ago (here are 17:29) never starts. I’ve tried to delete them, no effects

How it’s possible that deleting transient brokes WP CRON? Do you have any idea?

Thanks. The cron event that’s 2 from the bottom of your screenshot, named housekeep_transients, that’s the one created by this plugin. If you use the option on that screen to delete it.

However, looking at that screenshot I can’t see any cron events that haven’t run, as all seem up-to-date.

i don’t know why. i’ve already delete your plugin and also that jobs.

You are wrong. the jobs are all stuck: they arrive at the hours scheduled and they doesn’t start

I thought the plugin removed the event when the plugin was deleted but I’ve since checked and that’s not the case. So, it will need manually removing.

That screenshot suggests otherwise, as the “next run” times are all in the future and not stuck in the past (which is what I’d expect to see). Can you give me details of how you know they’re stuck?

Simply, because the things jobs have to do (example, sheduled post, plugins updates, plugin features) don’t run anymore.

The “next run” is stucked there: the screen with next run, as i wrote, was taken at 16:12 and i wrote you at 17:29

Can you provide a more up-to-date shot of that screen?
