• Hi,

    I installed 4.5.2 wp few days ago as it was the most recent one.

    Then I saw in wp admin news section that 4.5.3 is recommended.

    However,

    The following plugins have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Plugins”.

    Should not 4.5.3 show as one click update option and should not updater recognize that I am not having the latest available?

  • When you originally installed WordPress did you use the Site Software install via cpanel? If so, it’s possible that the host has modified the update files so they can control when the updates are made available. You could contact your host to see if this is the case.

    You can also check the wp-config file and see if this line exists.

    define( ‘AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED’, true );

    If it does the updater is disabled. You could change that by changing true to false.
