Since installing this plugin, my WP Dashboard is forced into a single column (that looks ‘squished’) and cannot be changed – the Screen Options dropdown on the dashboard also doesn’t work. The plugin display itself on the dashboard is mangled a bit (printing outside the borders).
Happening on multiple sites – even without other plugins activated.

    Hello captainswallow,

we are aware of problems with the view. There is an update planned for the next week, wich fixes many known bugs and decreases the overuse of styles. We are really sorry for this error and the long time for this update.

    Regards,

We have released version 1.1 a few minutes ago. Please update and deactivate the dashboard widget on the settings page.

We are sorry, but we weren’t able to reduce the conflict between bootstrap and the dashboard. Currently we don’t have enough time to get everything done that we want. There are still many things we want to change and add to this plugin, but our long-term focus is to integrate it as a way more polished version in our main plugin: WP SEO Keyword Optimizer.

Tried the new version, couldn’t activate due to an error:

Warning: mkdir(): File exists in /var/www/vhosts/shinobiresources.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-seo-plugin-optimizer/wspo.php on line 48

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wspo_update_page_register() in /var/www/vhosts/shinobiresources.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-seo-plugin-optimizer/wspo.php on line 140

Completely removed, tried reinstalling, same error.

FYI, I just tried installing your other plugin (WP SEO Keyword Optimizer) and noticed something I also noticed in the Plugin Optimizer…loose code showing on the page.

    */ ?>

At the top (in this case) in the Plugin Opt. it was on the Dashboard near the plugin’s display.

The plugin dashboard also moves the WP Core Footer into the middle of the page

We are looking into the errors, thank you for the information. Is the Keyword Optimizer running and showing data? A Hotfix will be released today. Sorry for that ??

Version 1.1.1 has been released to fix errors with the activation. But we weren’t able to reproduce the loose code. Please see if the error remains in this update.

Current update of WP SEO Plugin Optimizer seems to work fine (with the default of dashboard widget deactivated).

Keyword Optimizer still has loose code and the moved footer issue – it is NOT displaying any data – using manual update.
“There are 88 missing data sets in your last 90 days cache. You can wait for the next cronjob (11/01/2017 00:00:00) or (Update Manually)”

    (@captainswallow)

Actually, both plugins display this behaviour (less noticeable in the plugin optimizer).
The “update manually” button looks like it’s working, but after a moment, the page reloads and nothing happens.
Checked in both Chrome, Opera, Firefox browsers.
    Sending login via direct email.

Just noticed something else – after rules are set in the plugin optimizer, they seems to stick, even after disabling the plugin – which is good…however, the dashboard for the plugin optimizer is then stuck, in that I can click any of the tabs. It LOOKS ok, and the performance graphs refresh, but that’s all (and the same problem with loose code continues – with the WP core footer in the middle of the page).

Thank you for the credentials and the report, we will have a look into it ?? As for now all points to an error with an underlying function, but all main causes have been fixed in earlier updates.

As WordPress doesn’t offer all infos: What PHP Version is your site running? What Database driver is used on your server (MySQL, etc.)?

We have found the error for the loose code. A missconception between programming and design in the last update cycle has resulted in the use of “<? ?>” instead of “<?php ?>” in some template files. But we still don’t know why this doesn’t cause errors on all clients. Maybe we are lacking the right development setting to output that error.

We would like to provide you an unofficial patched version, so we can check if you are still facing errors, before releasing it. An E-Mail has allready been sent (our account isn’t able to change your plugins). Please update the plugin and tell us if you still face errors.

For the Keyword Optimizer the loose code problem was the same. But for the update manually button error, we suspect that google hasn’t enough data for now. You mentioned that the site is “now live”, so if google hasn’t indexed your site, the query would not be able to collect data. You can still use the optimizing functions to increase your rankings, but the overview would lack data due to there being no data in the google database. However this is just an assumption, we can provide you a pre-released version with the fixed PHP-sections for the Keyword Optimizer too if you wish.

    Regards,
    BAVOKO Services

PS: If you are not sure about your rankings, please see if the Google Search Console is showing any data. If it does, than please tell us. This is then either fixed with the pre-relase version, or we need to dig deeper.

Sounds like some progress! Server is running PHP 5.6.19, MySQL 5.5.52 on an Apache/nginx hybrid (RHEL 5.11).
As for the Keyword Optimizer, there is definitely data for Google to provide. While the site we’re testing on may not, other sites I’ve tested have more than enough (they’ve been running for years).
I have installed the pre-release plugin – and it works! After a scan and rule creation, the plugin dashboard works as it should – tabs are clickable, information is properly displayed, no loose code or footer anomalies! Well done! I have tested on the test site and one live site with equal results!
It does still have the squishing problem, though keeping the widget off prevents it in the WP Dashboard…it does still do it in it’s own dashboard, but only by compressing the WP menu to the right (not a horrible issue, really – still very useable…some folks may not notice).

We have packed the pre-release version of the Keyword Optimizer. I’m not able to access our mail account right now, but it should arrive in your inbox soon. Please check if the error remains with the fixed version.
