I like to test out design stuff locally before I actually go live with it, but with WordPress sites being dynamically generated, there’s not a real easy way to do that…so I came up with one.
I created a static version of the default index.php that has a sample entry displaying common HTML tags. Combine that with clean versions of wp-layout.css and print.css and people can make whatever design or structural changes they like to the code in a protected environment, without messing up anything on their actual server.
Hopefully this will make it easier for some people to develop designs without having to rely on their live site to do it. Let me know what you think…
