• So i have a hardly edited wordpres site. Literally, JUST installed it and then added the plugin. The only other thing that I did was import my posts from the wordpress.com site.

ANYWAYS. I install the plugin and all looks fine.. but then.. I go to the widgets to add the featured products or whatever to my sidebar, and IT DOESNT WORK!! I can not grab and drop any of the widgets in the list!!!!

I honestly have no clue why this is happening, because as soon as i deactivate the plugin, its back to normal..

has anyone every had this issue? I went to their website, but their forum is broken and I can not log in (i created an account, but login gives me a redirect loop error)

So here is the site if it helps

I am not wen design stupid. I have designed shopping carts, basic websites, and all that.. just new to wordpress.. and this is a head scratcher

Their forum is fixed, but don’t expect to find much help there. You’re actually more likely to run into the maintainers of that plugin here, as a matter of fact.

The problem is that the stable version of wp ecommerce does not play well with wordpress 2.8 – your best course of action is to download their latest beta 4 release, which despite being a beta still gets the job done just as well.

Gotcha.. So their Beta release plays nicely with 2.8?? I had tried to downgrade wordpress and that didn’t work.. so off the bat I thought it wasnt a compatability issue with wordpress versions..

I will go over there and download the newest release.. Hmm, and I thought this was gonna be easy ??

It would be nice if a company decides to have a support forum, that they actually support it. Oh well, i will come here for now on.

Yes, you should use the newest version of WP ECommerce. I’m on these forums and also on the Instinct forums as well…

So this newest version is not in the plugins section yet is it?
