I was using Ultimate TinyMCE up to now on WP 3.8 and 3.8.2. And it was working pretty well, and my suers was very happy with it. Before the migration to 3.9, I wanted to make a test on the new WP Edit on the 3.9 RC1 build (April 8th). Just activating WP Edit, without any configuration, break the Visual button line of TinyMCE. Deactivating WP Edit, Visual button line reappear.
Are you facing the same issue ?

Just to add that the test was done on a fresh install of WP 3.9 and WP Edit. (no update).

Hello, and thank you for posting.

No, I’ve been building this using the “bleeding edge” nightly release from WP.

Are you familiar with your browser console? You should be able to open it, click “console”, and check if any error is being reported. If you’re unsure how, just let me know and I’ll type out some quick instructions for you.

If the toolbar is not loading properly.. then there would most likely have to be an error being reported. We need to find that error ??

I’ll also run the tests again.. just to make sure it’s working on my end.

    Hi Josh,
    just viewing the console.
    Those scripts are not found:
    https://albrevin.org/wp39RC1/wp-content/plugins/wp_edit/plugins/directionality/plugin.min.js
    https://albrevin.org/wp39RC1/wp-content/plugins/wp_edit/plugins/table/plugin.min.js

    plus many others.
Main reason is the name ‘wp_edit’ of the directory plugin compare to the one created at the installation: wp-edit. This last one was created during the installation process, directly from the admin interface to install a plugin.
I changed the name of the directory to wp_edit and now it works ! (more tests to follow, but at least the Visual buttons bar is present, and adding few buttons from WP Edit is OK).
Just need perhaps to change the name of the directory in the archive !
