WP Edit conflicts with WooCommerce re Product Images

When WP Edit is activated, there is a conflict with WooCommerce.
When editing a product, there is no place to add a primary product image. On the right side of the page is”Product Gallery”-“Add product gallery images”. Underneath that is supposed to be “Product Image”-“Set product image”. However, when WP Edit is active, only the Product Gallery section appears. The Product Image section completely vanishes and makes it impossible to add new, or manage existing, primary product image. I discovered this only after spending (too much) time deactivating every single plugin, switching themes, etc.
This is not an issue with the theme I am using and occurs only with the WP Edit plugin. I am using Genesis with a Studiopress child theme and Genesis Connect for WooCommerce. However, the exact same problem still exists when Genesis Connect for WC is deactivated and the theme is changed to any other theme, including the default Twenty Fourteen theme all others I’ve tried.
When WP Edit is deactivated, voila – now Product Image appears on the product editing page again.
