Not sure what changed between yesterday and today, but WP Editor is working in one my sites.

I reinstalled the plugin in two different sites and it still doesn’t work for me. Additionally it breaks the native editor and makes any adding/editing impossible. So I’ve been forced to uninstall it everywhere.

I can live without it but in some crazy projects with many plugins, shortcodes and custom scripts it made webmaster’s life sooo much easier with colors and coding support.

    To the Author(s):
Any chances for full compability with WP 4.3 (and higher)?

    Hi,
I just installed it for the first time on WP 4.3 and it works perfectly with Twenty thirteen.

Oh no, there is a bug: the cursor is positioned on the column just above the current column. He edited as well on the next line, which makes it impractical.
    Pity, it’s a beautiful plugin!

Confirmed. Version 1.2.5.1 bot functional with new WordPress 4.2.

Yup, WP Editor is also not working for me since I upgraded to WordPress 4.3.

Confirmed. I had the cursor editing the line above bug as well on 4.3 and then the regular editor was acting funky… I disabled the plugin and all is well again. I contacted the authors through their support site… hopefully a fix is coming soon.

I used to use the HTML Syntax Highlighter but it doesn’t work in 4.3 either so I went to try out a few other options, including this one with WP Editor…nope, not working for me either.

So obviously whatever was done in 4.3 WP, it’s affecting some editor based plugins, including the ones that do syntax highlighting.

Thanks for the info guys. Can you try deactivating all other plugins and see if WP Editor still does not work?

If it does, try reactivating each plugin one at a time to see which one causes the conflict.

Also, try doing this with your theme as well. Switch to the default theme and see if there is a conflict there.

I am working on full compatibility with 4.3 and will release an update soon.

I have it on a few sites… oddly it worked on one of them fine (I think it may be theme conflicts?) but when I flipped to the visual and then back to the text tabs, the plain text editor is there and not the notepad++ one… The only way to get it back is to leave the post and come back into edit it again. And even when it does show up, the editor’s width is only about 90% of the space with a big white column on the right… weird.

Same issues with 2015 default theme from WP and all plugins disabled except this one.

Thanks @milkboy31. Can you post a screenshot for me? Also, do you have any errors in your JS console?

On this site, I have the spacing issue seen here:
    https://oi57.tinypic.com/es5ag7.jpg

If I check the console while opening the editor, flipping to the visual tab, then flipping back to the text tab (which no longer loads the wpedit view):

If I disable the plugin and check console for the same activity above:

I confirmed the same exact messages on my other site having issues. But the weird thing is (and I can’t recreate it) sometimes it loads full width… usually not. And when clicking and highlighting text, sometimes it highlights a half-line off and sometimes not… and it does some crazy dragging/moving/copy/paste thing to mess up the text as well. When those happen, I’m not seeing any errors logged in the console.

I’ve pushed out a preliminary update that should resolve these issues. Please update to 1.2.5.2 and let me know if that resolves these issues.

    Thanks!
