  • It replaces the built-in plugin and theme editors. The menu links are replaced too.

    Hi,

    Im having the same issue as above. Really cant edit anything at all with the WP editor.

    Just to make clear.

    I can only see the Settings page for WP Editor.

    Not the actual editor.

    What shall I do? Have tried to deactivate and reactivate. no response.

    Where are you expecting to see the editor? For posts, plugins or themes?

    I would expect to find the editor when I click the WP editor in the left Panel meny. However I only find the settings there.

    It’s a bit confusing because, the screen shots that you have posted above loke nothing like my version. I cant find the editor in the meny.

    What I want to do is to edit the <Head> to be able to add a string of code from Google to set up Ad Sense.

    The WP Editor menu item is for the settings only. WP Editor replaces the built-in editor that is normally available on the Plugins and Themes menus.

    If you do not see a menu item named “Editor” on the Plugins or Themes menus then file editing may be disabled. Look for this in your wp-config.php file:

    define( 'DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', TRUE );

    (You will need to use FTP or cPanel > File Manager to view that file. Or ask your web host technical support.)

    Or you may have a security plugin that has disabled file editing.

    Ha, Thank you very much Chris for Great Help.

    Went into the files o and changed to “False”

    Now, the edit-thingies suddently showed up in the Menu

    The editor is now visible in the dashboard.
