  • Oops! Thanks for the help! Its my first plugin.. Now I’m working on the SMTP file, there was an error there:

“Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to :25 in /home/ndiferou/public_html/zoo-talk/wp-includes/class-smtp.php on line 105”

okie you need to change to PHP or SENDMAIL under the mailer type because there is some problem connecting to ur smtp.

I have been a big fan of WP-Print! When I upgrade to WP2, I will install this upgrade. I have not made the upgrade yet, I am hesitant.

I would recommend u to wait =), I will release update in 2 days time =)

I installed the WP-Email plugin, and it works well, but I’m having a problem getting it to display properly. On a post, it screws the template up and puts the sidebar smack in the middle of the page. I’ve looked through the template and nothing jumps out at me, but I’m a n00b at this stuff.

It looks like the template has narrowed, so the sidebar (normally on the right) is shoved towards the middle.

    Any thoughts? Here’s an example:

    https://www.mattsapundit.com/2006/02/27/back-and-tired/email/

You may have to tweak the plug-in, it adds a <div id="content" class="narrowcolunm"> to the page, but that theme only uses <div id="content">. So you’ll have to go into the plug-in, I think the file is wp-email.php and comment out that div tag.

Wow, sweet! Works like a charm. Thanks, niziol!

I fixed this div in the latest release, I remove the hardcoded <div id=”content” class=”narrowcolunm”> from wp-email.php and move it to the templates

    You’re most welcome Matt!

Thanks GamerZ for fixing that up too! I notcied there where a few little things that made it not XHTML 1.0 Strict/XHTML 1.1 valid, I’m not sure if you managed to get all of them or not.

    Thanks for the great plug-in!!

    Cheers,
    Michael.

no problem, which line is not xhtml validated?

I downloaded the new one yesterday, but the narrowcolumn was still hard-coded. I think maybe my template has different div’s or something, I tweaked the plug-in for my layout, but I forgot to validate it with the fresh-install. If no-one else has said anything, it must be my layout that is tempermental.

One question though, is there anyway to tell (or to log) which sending method is used (ie SMTP, PHP etc.)?

    Thanks again for the plug-in!

    Cheers,
    Michael.

niziol: You need to restore the default template. I checked the file, it has been removed from wp-email.php.

Log send method? Nope, but why do u need to log that?

No, no, it’s fine now, I just tweaked it for my site – I’m very retentive about things, so I get carried away – but it works perfectly now.

I just downloaded a fresh copy from your website and on line 217:
    <div id="content" class="narrowcolumn"> it’s still there.

And the logging the send method, again just because I’m obsessive and like to know everything!

    Cheers,
    Michael.

oh u mean that, that part is meant for users to tweak as it is in partly html, it shld be easier

The download seems to be broken ??
