WP Errors

When I went to the Dashboard of my blog just now, I was greeted with the following:

WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’ (errno: 144)]
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘0’

WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_comments.MYI’ (errno: 144)]
SELECT COUNT(comment_ID) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = ‘spam’

I have not made any modifications recently. I am unaware of my host doing anything, but I suppose it is possible.

Akismet has no messages in it, which is odd. I suspect there is a message that may have caused the system to burp.

Any thoughts as to how to resolve this?
