    Hi,

I love the plugin! BUT… I just found out that the cache doesn’t clear the homepage after a new post is posted. On Edge, the homepage is cleared, on Chrome it does not. This happens both when the plugin is set to clear the homepage only and when it is set to clear the entire cache.

Separately but possibly related, earlier on I discovered that even when I attempt to clear the cache it only clears some posts: I have a site with nearly 800 posts and only a few get cleared. Even when I click the Delete Cache button several times (waiting in between), only some posts get deleted. The only way to completely delete the cache is by removing them via Filezilla. This is not the main problem… But I mention this because it might be related to it.

If I cannot reliably clear the homepage each time a new post is added, I could not use the plugin, much as I love its performance.

I would greatly appreciate your help…

    Thank you,
    JF

The problem is caused by browser caching I guess. You cannot see the changes via Chrome. You need to disable the following option.

Browser Caching:[ ] Reduce page load times for repeat visitors

Thanks for your very quick reply — much appreciated!

It might be a browser-cache issue, but I’m not sure. I now know that, once I notice the problem, if I then do a Delete Cache and after that reload the homepage it will clear the homepage. (As I said before, I don’t think that the entire Cache gets deleted, but that’s not a problem for me in this context.)

I had used W3 Total Cache before, with browser caching enabled, and didn’t have the same problem. I find your plugin to be significantly faster than W3 on a site with a static front-page which I monitor continuously; I’m assuming it’s also faster with a dynamic WP structure like the one I’m writing about, where the homepage needs to be cleared each time a new post is added.

If you think anything else might help, please let me know – a cron maybe? But, then, I’d need to know how to tie it to the plugin.

    Many Thanks,
    JF

you said that you tried it via filezilla. You should check it via filezilla. If the cache is deleted, everything is ok.

Of course, I can delete the cache and clear everything, but I wouldn’t want to do it, especially not every time there’s a new post.

I already know that after I click Delete Cache (once or twice) whatever recent posts that didn’t show on the homepage become visible. So that solves my immediate problem. And, given that this solution works, it might suggest that this is not a browser-cache issue.

Ideally, though, you wouldn’t want to do this each time after the blogger adds a post. If you can think of something that might help so this becomes unnecessary, it would help.

    Thank you,

    Fixed.

    Hello.
Would love to know what the solution was as I’m having the same problem.

I have cleared the browser cache, then:
When logged in to www.ads-software.com, the home page updates with the latest posts only after deleting the WPFC cache and minify.
When not logged in to www.ads-software.com, no posts since installing the plug-in appear, even after deleting the WPFC cache and minify. Even the old menus are shown.

    Here are the settings:

    Thank you!

Same here, when I publish new or update existing post – homepage is not clearing until I do it manually. Please fix.

Hi @gansbrest, did you check it via FTP? Please be sure that /wp-content/cache/all/index.html is cleared or not after new post.

I my case I was using php in docker container and file permissions were screwed up. Once I adjusted permission and file ownership, everything seem to be fine so far. Thanks

I’m having exactly the same problem with my website https://www.worldlyadventurer.com Even when I delete the cache (in wp-content/cache/all) it’s still not loading a new post on the front page. Any ideas?

Hi @sdyson, it is caused by browser caching. You should disable browser caching.
