    Hi,

I’ve recently configured WP Fatest Cache on my site and for some reason now the Instagram Pro Feed that I’ve purchased is no longer working on iphone / safari. If I turn caching off then it’s no longer and issue but when it’s switched on it only seems to break the combination of iphone / safari. I’ve tried iphone + chrome / firefox and it seems to be working without issue.

I’ve also tried on multiple iphones and I can replicate the problem across both.

I’ve tried excluding the javascript and css from caching but this hasn’t resolved the issue.

The site is hxxps://www.thegoodsheet.com.au (change xx to tt)

Would you mind taking a look to see if you can see anything wrong. Much appreciated.

    Hey Pixelrush,

It looks like everything is working on my iPhone 6 with Safari (https://snag.gy/YCB1Vr.jpg). Were you able to fix the issue?

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate your help so far.

It’s a weird one, if I close the browser and reopen it seems to work on the very first load. Then if I refresh the page it often doesn’t load until I either a) close the browser again or b) request the desktop version.

If you reload your screen after the initial load, without closing window, does it still work for you? Maybe it’s a more obscure and rare circumstance where it’s only the reload that causes an issue.

Yes that is very strange! I tried reloading about 10 times and the feed was still working properly for me. I will see if the lead developer can recreate your issue. He is on vacation so it may take awhile!

No worries at all, I appreciate your help. As the issue seems to occur on subsequent reloads of the same page it’s probably not as big a concern as I first thought but would still be good to resolve it.

I’ve also added a ticket over on the cache plugin, they seem to have been able to replicate it but not sure where the issue is coming from

    Hey again,

I’m wondering if there is something going on with the combination of our caching system and the caching plugin’s caching system. Could you try disabling the cache by changing the setting on the “Configure” tab “Check for new posts every” to “0”?

Also, since we are now discussing a pro-only feature, the mods of this forum would prefer if we use our own system. Could you direct any more questions about this to our contact form here?:

    Thanks!

    Hey pixelrush,

Thanks for your patience. I was away on vacation and just got back a few days ago. I took a look at your site on my iPhone but was also unable to replicate the problem unfortunately – the feed loaded successfully every time I refreshed the page. It’s strange that you’re able to replicate it across multiple devices on your end but we’re not able to. Were you able to make any progress in resolving the issue? Are you able to use the iOS web inspector to check whether there’s any JavaScript errors when you experience the problem?

Many thanks, and I hope you’re having a good week so far.

    John
