WP Featured Content Slider with thumbnails

I’m using the plugin WP Featured Content Slider: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-featured-content-slider/

I want to add thumbnails so that a visitor can use the thumbnails for sliding in stead of the arrows.

Is this possible with this plugin or is it better to make a custom slider? Any help is appreciated ??
