• I’m finding this plugin very useful and I had a few suggestions.

I recreated my site and while my articles and the images in the posts are there (for the most part) but the attachments are all lost. What would be super-efficient is if the plugin could compare the media library to the uploads folder and determine if a file was in both places…

I think you would find there is a big need because as I have found out over the years I have added and deleted images and this leaves either full-size images or ALL the other sizes in the upload folder. This would help reduce the bloat.

Also incorporate this other plugin function (“add from server”) so that if an image in the contents folder is not in the media library, one click and it could be added and then you just have to associate the image with the article/post…

I hope you are going to update this plugin to be current because even if you made these additions that I suggested for items in the pro-version, I would not hesitate to buy them.

    Hi @folgerj,

Thank you for reaching us in the community and sharing your suggestion for the revision feature for the media library and pulling the media from the host server. We will certainly share this with our development team.

We regularly review feature requests, determine what is the most popular and include them in our regular release schedule.

    Thanks and regards,

    WP File Manager Pro
