WP finds the database server, but not the database. Stuck

  • My Error from the wp-admin/install.php:
    Can’t select database
    We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the phpmy1_great-smile.com database.

    ?Are you sure it exists?
    ?Does the user greatsmile739332 have permission to use the phpmy1_great-smile.com database?
    ?On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_phpmy1_great-smile.com. Could that be the problem?

    Yes, database does exist.
    I can’t get to any permissions. Using phpMyAdmin
    Tried the prefix, but did not help.
    notes:
    I loaded all the WP files into a Subfolder on the Root directory.
    I checked my names passwords 5 times.
    Can anyone help me to get WP to work here.
