• For some reason, every time I try to access the wp folders on my server (wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes, wp-images), my FTP program give me an error message saying “The parameter is incorrect.” The program then apparantly tries to download the contents of the folder I clicked on, and then freezes. I’m using Core FTP Lite 1.3, and WordPress 1.5.1.3 was automatically installed on my server via Fantastico. I’ve never had this happen while using Core FTP before. Is it a problem with my FTP program, or does it have something to do with WordPress script?

  • It’s not WP.
It’s either a temp error on your hosts side, or a glitch in Core FTP.

    Filezilla is nice !

    Hi

I have exactly the same problem! Core FTP Lite does not have any problem with the earlier version of WordPress (1.5) though. What is really the difference between 1.5 and 1.5.1.3?
have you solved your problem using filezilla?

There is no difference between the wp files, so I have no explanation for the behaviour of Core.
Filezilla is a fully featured and free FTP client though – it has never given me any problems.
