• Hi, I’m using wp-forecast and chose the spanish translation.
The problem is that days and months still appear in english.
    How can I change this?

  • hello etche,

as far as I remember the days come from the wp-forecast es_ES.po file located in the lang folder. but they should be translated. the names of the month come from wordpress. do you have your wordpress set up to use spanish?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I checked the es_ES.po file and the days are correctly translated, but in my widget they still appear in english. The forecast data is translated to spanish correctly, but months and days are not. My wordpress is set to use english, but I managed to change the language for months and days in posts by modifying php (wich I’m currently trying to learn, as I have no experience).
I’ll try to modify yours to get the months to show in spanish but I really dont know how.
    Thanks!

hi, wp-forecast uses the wordpress function date_i18n to format and translate the date and time values. date_i18n is called with two parameters the frist gives the format, the second the time value. wp-forecast uses the values stored in the table wp_options with parametername date_format and time_format. hopefully this brings you to a solution.

    Hello,

Where can I find the right format for the location field?

I need to pull the weather for S. Lake Tahoe.

    but this doesn’t work.
    US|CA|GM010|SOUTH LAKE TAHOE

Where can I find the right format?

@ddpweb – If you start a new thread you’ll probably get better help.

    Hey Etche,

Have you found a way to translate the plug in in Spanish? Actually, I try to build a bilingual website and I would like to see the plug switching from one language to another, depending on weither you are on the french website or the english one. In my mind, it seems pretty close from what you wanted to do…. Am I right?
