I’ve added the WP Form to the footer widget. The problem is that the form fields have all been shortened even though I’ve designated all field sizes as large. On regular pages, the contact form fields are the perfect size in the body of the page. It’s only when the WP form is placed in the widget footer area that the field sizes are truncated.

Can you please tell me how to fix this issue?

    Hi globalgirlster,

When you get the chance, could you share a link to view the form on your site footer so we can further troubleshoot the issue?

    Thanks ??

    Hi globalgirlster,

Thanks for the details! It looks like the form fields are set to Large which takes up 100% of the space the form is embedded in.

The footer widget that you’ve placed the form in is styled to appear in a three-column layout when the screen width is larger than 980px, in a two-column layout when the screen width between 767px and 980px. On a screen width smaller than 767px, the widget is displayed in a single column.

If you’d like to change this layout of the footer widget, you might want to reach out to your developer or the theme’s support. Alternatively you could place the form in another section of your page.

    I hope this helps!

A suggestion from a WPForms user – I am not associated with the product – I notice you have your footer set to a relatively narrow 1080 pixels. Your three footer sections (widgets) must work within that total width. I notice most of your other sections above including the one with another contact from placed are set to an odd width close to 1700 pixels.

You may find if you increase the section width of the footer to the same as the rest of the page that the form fields look better. You would almost double the width of the three widgets, which are now limited to about 320 pixels each. The resizing will add 200+ pixels to the width of each.

If I discern your theme correctly, it is known for giving a lot of flexibility for layout dimensions, so the theme’s support forum should be helpful.

Sorry for a little math. Hope it’s useful to solve your issue.

    Ethan & John,

Thank you for your suggestions on how to improve the look of WPForm in the footer of my website. I updated the theme settings, namely the standard width, and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks again for your assistance.

    Tee
