Create webp versions of images – checked
Display images in webp format on the site – checked
    use rewrite rules – checked

“generate missing webp images” : 256
    if i run it/save : 256

it is unclear if imagfy is trying to generate webp for wp, the mediawiki wiki or xenforo forums (doesnt show paths) portion .

    thanks!

    Hi @xxjergerxx

“Generate WebP” feature should create WebP for custom folders as well. So it will create WebP of all already optimized images that are missing the WebP version.

I see some images from your Wiki page are WebP.

Were you able to test this and see if there is new WebP for images in Wiki/Forum?

Please note that we have some issues with this feature as in some cases it will not generate WebP images when the original image is missing (but won’t give the prcise information about it) – https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-plugin/issues/422

I think it mostly is working (webp) however when I go back to the imagfy screen it will still report the same amount of files that are missing webp and will re-create the webp files … refresh the plugin and it will ask to generate missing webp for these files again.

it is only 300 or so out of 17k images, possibly they are in a location with less permissions , i am not sure since it does not identify which images need webp beforehand.

    Hey,

It looks like that’s exactly the problem we had from other users as well.

What you can try to do is to look for older images (added before October 2019) that have “Well done…” status (which means these were already optimized so Imagify didn’t process them).

Since WebP feature was not available in that period, WebP is not created for them, and Imagify will not process them.

What you can do when you find these, is to reoptimize them. “Well done…” status will probably stay, but WebP format will be generated.

Let me know if that worked.
