    Hi,

I created the WP Store Locator plugin and someone pointed out to me that the WP Store Locator plugin and WP Google Maps can not be active at the same time without triggering JS errors, and I’m sure that this used to work fine in the past.

So I tested it and normally the Google Maps JS library is loaded on the new stores pages in the admin editor, but once you activate the WP Google Maps plugin this is no longer the case. I have tested this with only those two plugins active, and with the default configuration.

It looks like the WP Google Maps plugin unloads the Google Maps library? If this is the case, then maybe this can be made to only happen on pages from the WP Google Maps plugin itself?

  • Hi @tijmensmit

Thank you for getting in touch.

We’re not aware of any incompatibilities, however if you’re experiencing issues we’d be quite happy to help.

Are you seeing any issues in your console?

Have you enabled “Prevent other plugins and theme from loading Maps API” in our plugins settings?

    Kind regards

Okay, after some more testing it seems to be something in WordPress that changed since the 5.x version that causes the WP Store Locator code to break when other Google Maps related plugins are active, so it’s not the WP Google Maps code that triggers the issue but something going wrong in the WP Store Locator code itself.

I will figure it out, sorry for the false alarm ??
