WP-Greet Not working with wpress 3.6 – Nextgen code tweak?

    Hi,
    I recently updated Nextgen with wp 3.5 and everything worked fine.
    Today i updated to wp 3.6 and the ecard galleries show fine but when i click on an individual image it shows only the image without going to the form page.
    I seem to remember having an issue once before when updating either nextgen or wordpress. I had found a code tweak for the nextgen plugin files that resolved this but now i have lost the tweak as i upgraded.

    Hi,

    the problem results from the “great” update the guys at Photocrati did to Nextgen Gallery. Seems they did a redesign and removed a whole bunch of code from the plugin. Unfortunately wp-greet and a lot of other plugins rely on it. The only solution at the moment is going back to NGG 1.9.13.

    In my current mood I am really thinking of replacing NGG with some other gallery.

    Hi Hans,

    Thanks so much for your reply. I rolled back to NGG 1.9.13. a few days ago and everything seems to be working fine. I was worried as I thought I had tweaked the NGG code previously–and thought it lost–but evidently all is well.

    Having said that, your idea of coming up with a new gallery may be the way to go as well as to keep wp-greet a g r e a t wordpress plugin.
    I’ve been using it to showcase artists and have many galleries with over 800 images all handled efficiently by wp-greet.

    so I spent the weekend to find a solution and found a workaround.
    I just integrated it into wp-greet and it would be great if you can test it.

    Please fetch the new version from wp-greet-3.3.zip.

    If you use a version of NGG >= 2.0.0 and it is active an admin message is displayed guiding you what you have to change.

    Please test it with 1.9.13 and 2.0.x and give feedback.

    I do not ant to publish it and leading the wp-greet users into even more trouble without having feedback from some Betatesters.

    Hi Hans,

    Your fix works great!
    I uploaded wp-greet 3.3.
    I was using ngg 1.9.13 so i updated to 2.0.7
    I logged into server, found the file your fix points to, and dropped in the new code.
    Optimized the database and cleared the cache.
    Now, the ecards thumbnails point to wp-greet as they should.

    Thanks so much for your help! I saved your “fix code” into a text file for any future ngg updates.
