What should I change in the javascript if I want to add a space before every smiley that’s added? So that when you click on a ‘grin’, the text in the textbox = text + " " + emoticon?

Hey, I got this error on my main posting page.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_grins() in /home/so-you9/public_html/ria/wp/wp-admin/edit-form.php on line 98
I just started using PHP and don’t know what I’m doing:(

Cool! I tried this hack and everything went fine. Thanks for a great hack! Good thing the only thing I overlooked was not turning on Hacks under General Blog Settings. After I turned it on, it worked just fine and I prefer quicktags. This is much easier to implement than b2 in comparsion.

what do I do if i want to add new smilies?

lemonyfresh – do a search for ‘change smilies’. There are quite a few pages to read through, but I’m told it’s not too tricky to do.

IE displays the alt – others do not. You can add a title=”‘.$tag.'” to wp_grins

wp_grins works very nicely on my website when I write an article. but doesn’t work at all in comment. I am using WP 1.2, and i tried several things people listed on this forum, but none helps. can someone please help me? the address is: https://www.spacetuna.com
    Thanks.

I’ve tried out the hack and would like to change the smilies from the yellow ones to ones that I’ve made. I’ve already uploaded them to my wp-images/smilies folder, but they aren’t showing up. How do I get them to work?

If you named them the same, flush your temp files.

I’ve tried editing them in the vars.php file, but none of the smilies I’ve uploaded will even show up. When I try to go the link I get a 403 error.

It appears the file/directory settings are improperly set. Make sure the images are readable and the directory is accessible.

How exactly would I do that? (Sorry I’m new to all of this lol)
The CHMOD permissions are set at 644..should I change them to something else? Or should I try to re-install wordpress?

That’s the link to the installation. The CHMOD permissions on the smilies directory is 755.

    Lol. Didn’t realize I wasn’t logged in.
