WP HTTP Error: Could not resolve host: planet.www.ads-software.com;

  • On my admin dashboard i have noticed that the feeds (other wordpres news, wordpress development blog, and incoming links) are no longer working. Instead i get this error in the boxes

    RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Could not resolve host: planet.www.ads-software.com; No data record of requested type

    Seems like anything that gets info from an outside source is down.

  • How long has this error been displayed? It isn’t uncommon to get temporary errors of this kind for a few hours. They normally resolve themselves.

    Well it started last night when the “twitter-tools” plugin started giving errors like this so i shut it down. I didnt notice these errors till this morning.

    Have you tried deactivating all plugins?

    Well its happining on all my blogs hosted on a certain server. I have a few sites hosted here at my house and they are all having this issue, just started last night. All the other sites i have hosted on other servers are fine.

    any ideas yet? what would control this issue on the server? could it be a router issue?

    me too. I am using wp2.8.5 php5.2.11 NTS fastcgi IIS6 and mysql5

    WP HTTP Error: Could not resolve host: www.ads-software.com; No data record of requested type
    WP HTTP Error: Could not resolve host: blogsearch.google.com; No data record of requested type

    I am having the same issue, anyone found the solution to this???

    I too am having this problem on a fresh install.

    When using the IPV6 network, this problem occurs.
