WP in existing site

How do you put wordpress inside of an existing site without creating a template. I’ve read up on “the loop” stuff but have failed miserably. I’d like to set up my existing pages to only show one post without comments. I don’t need any of the sidebar or footer workings. I’d like code to just paste into the body section of my page.
