• I’m getting this error repeatedly on my page at https://www.appomattoxhistory.com/ – this is an issue that has plagued other sites, all using the Hybrid theme; however, they directed me here, as it seems to be more of a WordPress problem:

Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: Stat failed for /nfs/c01/h03/mnt/31426/domains/appomattoxhistory.com/html/wp-content/uploads/2009 (errno=40 – Too many levels of symbolic links) in /nfs/c01/h11/mnt/31426/domains/appomattoxhistory.com/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1942

I have upgraded to 2.8.4 and the themes also are the latest versions. Any solution?

  • is your domain an addon domain? or hosted as a main domain on server? I think this is the issue..

It’s one domain among many on a server at media temple. But, I own and serve up all the domains on that server.

I changed the engine for the theme and it eliminated the code on the front page. However, my DB shows a number of repeated links in both the taxonomy and relationship tables. Anyone else have this problem? Do you suppose it’s generated by the theme?

In addition – I discovered the code in the back end of WP in the “Media” tab – the repetition of the code was everywhere. How to eliminate?

Ok – I shuffled some things around so the code isn’t on the front page anymore. You can see it at https://www.appomattoxhistory.com/category/feature. This code also is showing up in my WP backend under the Media tab.

Sure would appreciate any help at all.
