Revisions only work with post content, not all the various bits of meta data. Therefore they are off to avoid confusion.

Mike, isn’t the job listing a post content since it is a custom post type? I am not asking about meta data. I wanted revisions on the actual post content itself. Is this still possible?

Yeah; if you just add ‘revisions’ to the supports variable for the post type. just tested this and it worked fine.

Thanks, that is what I did in your main class file, but the problem is that the revisions still do not on the post editing page. It just shows a blank box under the Revisions heading. I checked the MySQL database and the revisions are saving fine, but they still do not show.

Another issue that I find is that I added the URL for the revision ID into my web browser as https://URL/wp-admin/revision.php?revision=6416, but it just redirects back to the edit.php main admin page. Other custom post types do not do this. Do you know why that happens?

In the revisions.php file in core, I temporary disabled the redirect code just to see if it would work and it just shows a blank white page with no errors. Do you know how I could get around this?

I did not have to edit core, I just had to save a published job a few types – it seems to only generate revisions from edits to published jobs.
