    Hi,

I have an issue occuring where that if you edit your own job from the frontend using the Employeer Dashboard, and update the description. It doesn’t save the new description of the job.

Backend admin works fine but only admins can update employeers jobs, defeating the objective of the plugin obviously and being self-service.

Please could you offer some sort of guidence.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

  • Do you use a caching plugin? I wonder if that could be causing the issue. If you do, try disabling it (or just disabling the job manager pages from being cached), and seeing if the issue resolves.

Thanks for your reply hastibe and suggestion. I just checked and I don’t have any cache plugins installed.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

Perhaps another plugin is causing the behavior–do you have the ability to temporarily disable your other plugins or to run a test on a staging website with your other plugins disabled (and on a default theme, such as Twenty Sixteen), to see if the behavior resolves?

Thanks for your advice hastibe, after an hour and half of testing you’ve got me to crack it!
This was an issue with the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin with the WorkScout theme.

Thanks so much for the advice, all the best.

Ah, the joys of troubleshooting, eh? ?? It certainly is time-intensive–glad my suggestions were helpful, though!
