    Hi!

on my site the 100%-complete german WP Job Manager-translation of the front-page search form placeholders are not displayed (english text appears instead of german):

    • “Keywords” should be “Stichworte”
    • “Location” should be “Arbeitsort”

In other themes the translation is displayed correctly… Any solution?

    Kind Regards!

    Hi @wptravelenginesupport!

Thanks for your answer. The issue is not resolved yet.

I just tried another theme (Neve). In Neve the translation of the placeholders is working, in JobScout – which I’d prefer to use – it’s not. I just switched back to JobScout, so you can see the issue.

Update: I found the reason, why the elements are not translated: The form-placeholders (and some other elements) are filled by the JobScout-theme language files, not by the WP Job Manager-plugin language files.

As soon as I set up a German translation for the theme (via Loco translate-plugin) ad entered translations there, they appear in the frontend.

    Is this intentional?

    Hello @revilo2020de,

Yes, the banner search placeholder is displayed from the theme and needed to be translated on the theme file.

If you have any further questions or need help, please let us know.

    Thank you.
