• I’ve tried searching for any info on what went wrong, but when I install WP Last Visit into my otherwise functioning blog – according to the instructions of the readme.txt which I downloaded with the plugin today (I am running 1.3 alpha 2 in a daily from the 4th of Augsust 2004) – I get the following error message.
    Memory for Me
Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/wp-content/plugins/wp-last-visit.php?type=js) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www/htdocs/marhaba/) in /www/htdocs/marhaba/index.php on line 13
Warning: main(/wp-content/plugins/wp-last-visit.php?type=js) [function.main]: failed to create stream: Operation not permitted in /www/htdocs/marhaba/index.php on line 13
Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/wp-content/plugins/wp-last-visit.php?type=js) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www/htdocs/marhaba/) in /www/htdocs/marhaba/index.php on line 13
Warning: main(/wp-content/plugins/wp-last-visit.php?type=js) [function.main]: failed to create stream: Operation not permitted in /www/htdocs/marhaba/index.php on line 13
Fatal error: main() [function.main]: Failed opening required '/wp-content/plugins/wp-last-visit.php?type=js' (include_path='.:..') in /www/htdocs/marhaba/index.php on line 13

How do I change those restrictions, or whatever is going wrong this time :P. I’m not very php-versed, although I normally am able to follow instructions to modify stuff, etc.

Additionally,I had this before and found this thread on it https://www.ads-software.com/support/3/14914
However when I mailed my support they didn’t know how to react to this and didn’t even realize what the problem was.
I have now chmodded my wp-last-visit.php but it’s stil the same error. Is there any work around to this, or will I just have to give up if I don’t want to change providers?

Interestingly enough the Recent Comments plugin by MTDewVirus works just like it’s supposed to, even if it’s not quite what I wanted, so I’ve given up on getting Last Visit to work and gone with that.
