    Hi

Yes, that’s possible to do. You don’t have to use the front-end registration/log-in form – just use the default wp-login.php page.

So if my default WP is set to “only registered users can comment”, will that be the case for this forum/board?

Yes, that should be the case.

In Settings > Discussion Board > User tab, ensure that the ‘Permitted viewer roles’ and ‘Permitted poster roles’ are set to include all the roles you want to allow to view/post content.

If you don’t create a front-end log-in page with the [discussion_board_login_form] shortcode, then users will only be able to register and log-in via the default WP method.

If you need any help setting it up, just shout.

Thank you for your interest. If you decide to start using it, we’d love to see a link to a site.

    Hello there,

I am trying to use your plugin and running into some problems, probably cause I don’t understand..

I created a page to display all topics, and another one to create topics. (No login form page, I would like to use the basic wordpress login).
I can create new topics in the new “create topic” page, and then I get a link to display the topic. I can see the topic in the back office but it does not show on the “All topics” page I created, it keeps saying there are no topics at all..

This website is a bit special as only logged in users can see its pages + users are already redirected to a personnal page when logged in + pages’ visibity is retrained thanks to the “Simplerestrict” plugin.

I desactivated all my plugins, same result
I can give you access throuh mail if you need it..

    thanks for your help

    thanks
