wp-login.php just reloading and lost password redirecting to 404 page

    Hi, I had a stage site all set up and running fine and attempted to clone it using cpanel Softaculous and I’m not sure what has happened but the login page just reloads with out any errors indicating the username and password were incorrect.

    I’ve checked siteurl and home as well as the url for the user in phpadmin and everything looks correct.
    I even reset the password for the admin users in the database
    I’ve renamed the plugins folder
    I’m just not sure what could’ve caused this.

    I’ve enabled debugging for the site but I’m not really clear what the errors I’m seeing mean. I checked for extra lines in the files mentioned in the help file for “Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by ” don’t notice anything.

    My only thought is that it might be related to WP Better Security but I was hoping someone might help me narrow it down before I post in their support forum.

    An aside is that the rest of the site seems to be working properly, I just can’t access the dashboard.

    wp-config.php was corrupt, after replacing site is functioning properly now.
