• I managed to install WP on Dreamhost successfully.
I then selected and installed a WP template.
Everything was fine. I created pages and posts, I had all my structure in place and most of the text too.

I was having some trouble with the home page and so I did fiddle about with the Settings. I did change the URLs for my installation of WP and for the homepage itself in that sections but since I did not notice anything happening, I changed them back to what they were before, ie https://www.canaryislandslanguagecentre.com
Now the site shows as a very old html version, WP and all the templates and all the look and feel has dissappeared. Anyone can offer some help here? Mnay Thanks in advance

    hey!!!

Yes, I did now manage to resolve it.
I just followed the instructions on https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

It was just exactly the solution I needed.

Hope it works for you too.

It took me a while to access the database (hadnt done in my life), but in the end it was very easy to make the needed changes

    Good luck
