I’m running an install of WordPress at my domain. On LR, I have the latest version of Windows 10, Lightroom, and WP.

I first noticed the odd behavior when I was editing stuff, images don’t consistently get republished to my galleries. I can confirm that ALL caching is turned off. So I publish an image to WP in color (for example) or resize it, or whatever. The post is checked republish in WP/LR.

I’ve tried both REST/XMLRPHP options, and nothing republishes the image as the plugin claims to do: “you change your watermark, the quality of your photos, the post-processing or information”.

I’ve tested the LR install, the exports are fine; I’ve disabled all caching; I’m not sure what’s going wrong with my installation. Please help.

Since I had Cloudflare & PHP OpCache enabled. I’m wondering if that is the issue.

OK. I managed to duplicate the issue: my 2nd system windows 7, with a completely fresh install on WP, too (all settings removed).

The collections usually shows the correct uploads. The media library is also intermittently showing the corrected uploads.

I’m not sure where the issue lies, except it’s not in LR itself. It’s either the plugin, the theme, the server or WP itself. Is their any native caching in WP?

I can rule out the browser as an issue: I’ve managed to view the same page in 3 different browsers. The same results: https://www.lookthroughthelens.com/collection/scenery/

One photo remains in color, despite them all being changed to B&W. The Media Lib shows the corrected versions, as does Collections, and Folders & Collections. However, clicking through the carousel on the page listed shows the corrected B&W version.

On the site, no caching is enabled now. So I’m wondering what gives inside.

    Hi,

If you click on that photo, the color one (that should be in black and white after the re-publish, right?), you will notice that it is… black and white.

So basically the plugin replaced it. But the thumbnails didn’t finish to be generated. Have a look at your logs, maybe it’s a timeout? Or caching somewhere else?

It’s a weird one. But I took your advice, and looked at the image editor inside WP. It’s not caching as I thought, but a thumbnails issue. The thumbs are not being regenerated completely: sometimes the old thumb is still visible inside Collections & Keywords, sometimes not. Sometimes it’s visible in the media manager, sometimes not.

So I manually edited the image INSIDE wp, just rotating it L/R, then saving it. Voila! Image regenerated. So why isn’t the image being regenerated? I will check my plugins to see… Thank you for looking at this weird issue. I’ll get back to you when I find the answer.

OK. I use the plugin “Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack” which generates the image on the page with the gallery. HOWEVER, when I edit the image in Media Library, it is often the unupdated image that gets loaded by WP. So I think the issue resides inside WP itself somewhere … but I’m not sure.
