    Hello,

I am using EDD on a website and I want to configure the sending of email by SMTP with the WP Mail SMTP plugin as indicated in the EDD Email settings.

The moment I hit the Install and Activate WP Mail SMTP button I get a fatal error on the website:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function is_mailer_complete() on null in /wp-content/plugins/easy-digital-downloads/includes/admin/extensions/product-education/class-wpsmtp.php:156

I have the latest version of EDD 2.11.6, I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this.

Could you check if there is any conflict between these two plugins?

    Regards

    Hey @clickening

    Thanks for reaching out!

Could you please let me know the PHP version that your webserver is running on?
You can find that in the Downloads > Tools > System Info report (at the bottom). I tried to install and activate it on my local test site and I did not get the error.

It might be a conflict with another plugin perhaps so you could try deactivating all plugins on the site except for EDD and try installing and activating it to see if it is still the same.

    Hi @misulicus

    Thank you for replying.

    This is the server information:

    -- Webserver Configuration

    PHP Version: 7.4.28
    MySQL Version: 5.5.5
    Webserver Info: Apache/2.4.25 (Debian)

I have tried deactivating all plugins and themes and leaving only EDD activated to try installing and activating WP Mail SMTP and I still get the error.

In the end I opted to use another SMTP plugin.

    Regards
