WP Mail SMTP plugin causes error

I’m using the latest version of Contact Form 7 and it seems, when I activate the plugin WP Mail SMTP, it causes an error (i.e. There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.) when submitting a form created with Contact Form 7. Please help me with this.
