    Hi,

We are using WP Mail SMTP with custom SMTP configuration, but receiving emails in SPAM. Test emails coming in SPAM as well.

All SPF/DKIM records are set up correctly, but still getting an issue. How can we resolve this issue?

    Thanks

  • Hi @devarshczar,

Thanks for reaching out. If the test email was successful without SPF/DKIM warning and you’re still getting emails in spam, you might need to contact your SMTP provider support to look into that. In the meantime, please make sure the From Email in WP Mail SMTP is set to the authenticated email address which is usually your SMTP Username.

Alternatively, you can consider switching to other available mailers. We have documentation for setting up each.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @sanzeeb3

    Thank you for your reply.

Test email was successfully delivered but in SPAM folder. We are using Other SMTP option and I have checked again for From Email and SMTP Username, both are same.

    Thanks

    Hi @devarshczar,

Thanks for the details. In that case, there’s some misconfiguration on your SMTP server or it does not have a good reputation. You might want to check if there’s some SMTP conflict on your site and if the emails are actually routed through your SMTP server.

    Hi @sanzeeb3,

when I test the Email-Connection from the Plugin I got a Message from the RCPT Server like this:

SMTP error from remote server for RCPT TO command, host: mymiki.de (85.214.156.232) reason: 554 5.7.1 RBLTRAP: Sorry, but I decided that you are a spammer, you are no
    t welcome here!

The normal Communication within WP SMTP are fully functional. Can please check that? My Provider told me that the Provider SPAM Protection are filtering the Subject. No words like Test or so should be in the Test-Mail. Is that possible to create an individual subject-Text that can eliminate that?

    Best regards

    Hi @mstfly,

Thanks for the details. Unfortunately, there is no option to change the subject of the test email. However, test emails are only for testing purposes and if you’re not facing issues with other emails sent from your site, you don’t need to worry about that. Most plugins sending emails do have the ability to change the subject of the email.

Alternatively, you could switch to other mailers. We have documentation for setting up each of the available mailers.

    Regards,
